
Access Programs are located in the new Aboriginal House on campus. Our focus is on you the student and we are committed to your success in whatever career path you choose. We know that our support, combined with the determination of our students, make dreams come true.
Access Programs students may pursue any program of study which leads to a degree or diploma at the University of Manitoba. Applicants must submit two applications: one to the University of Manitoba and one to the Access Programs. Students must qualify for regular University entrance or be mature students. Mature students are 21 years of age or older and are admissible to University 1. After successfully completing a minimum number of credit hours, students may transfer to the faculty of their choice.
Access Programs include:
- University of Manitoba Access Program (UMAP),
including Education Access Program (EAP) - Health Careers Access Program (HCAP), including Nursing
- Professional Health Program (PHP)
The Access Programs offer unique supportive wholistic programming in the areas of academic and personal counselling, limited financial support, course instruction, orientation program, tutoring and advocacy for anyone who has not had an opportunity to attend University because of social, economic or academic reasons.
Please note: These programs are not available through Distance Education.
