If you have not had the opportunity for university studies at the degree level because of social, economic and cultural reasons, lack of formal education or residence in remote areas, the University of Manitoba Access Program, In cooperation with the Province of Manitoba, can facilitate this for you.
As a University of Manitoba Access Program student, you may pursue any program of study which leads to a degree or diploma at the University of Manitoba. You are provided with academic and personal supports. Financial assistance may be available.
Students must qualify for regular University entrance
or be mature students. Mature students are 21 years of age or older
and are admissible to University 1. After successfully completing a minimum
number of credit hours, students may transfer to the faculty of
their choice.
Any resident of Manitoba may apply. Visiting students are not eligible.
Preference is given to Aboriginal people (Status, Non-Status, Metis,
Inuit), residents of Northern Manitoba, and low income earners.
After successfully completing a first degree, students who are admitted to the Faculty of Education are eligible for the Education Access Program.
