Project Description:
Examining the relationship between soil test phosphorus (STP) and runoff phosphorus (P) losses from plot scale rainfall simulations from Manitoba.
Main objectives:
-
To identify which STP methods best predict the potential for P losses in surface runoff in Manitoba
-
To determine whether the relationships between STP and runoff P are stable across a range of soils with various physical, chemical and management characteristics including soil sampling depth, sampling location (soil type), sampling year and water sampling interval as well as residue management practices
