The Professional Interior Designers Institute of Manitoba wishes to make an annual award at May convocation of a bronze medal to the student in the Department of Interior Design who graduates with the highest aggregate marks in courses, Professionalism and Practice (currently numbered 51.725) and the Business of Interior Design (currently numbered 51.726).

The award, known as the P.I.D.I.M. Medal, was first made at the May 1956 Convocation.
The medal will be struck from The University of Manitoba die and will be inscribed as follows: P.I.D.I.M.; year of award; name of student; The University of Manitoba.
