The Interior Designers of Canada Foundation (IDCF) has established a fund for students with high standing in the Post-Professional Masters of Interior Design Program or for entry to a Ph.D. Program where the focus is on Interior Design research and has demonstrated potential for innovative research.
This fellowship shall be offered to graduate students who:
• are a graduate of Interior Design from a university or college accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA),
or equivalent, if the degree / diploma was taken outside Canada or the United States
• are registered in the Post-Professional Masters of Interior Design Program at the University of Manitoba, or have been accepted
into a Ph.D. Program at the University of Manitoba, where the focus of research is Interior Design
• have an outstanding record of academic achievement (minimum degree grade point average of 3.5)
• demonstrate potential for innovative research in Interior Design
Preference shall be given to candidates who are Canadian citizens or landed immigrants pursuing original research in Interior Design. A student may apply for this award in two consecutive years. The recipient of the award shall be designated the Teknion / Global (IDCF) Fellow. The Teknion / Global Fellow will report annually to the IDCF President in writing on research progress by July 31 in the given year and will provide a synopsis of the completed thesis to the IDCF.
