CAST research is focused on making our ideas and techniques available for construction. This increasingly important part of our work is done through collaborations with architects, engineers and builders around the world. Project-specific formwork designs are developed through conversations, an exchange of drawings, and small-scale physical models. When required, full-scale construction prototypes are made at CAST to test these designs. The methods developed for each project are then transmitted to the architects, engineers and builders involved.
This work is divided into two categories below: Constructed Projects, which include both buildings and public art, and Project Designs, which include various designs developed for construction which have not been realized.
