Masonry

Masonry research at CAST is focused on innovative design and a re-examination of the masonry as a structural material. Our research and experients in this area are largely inspired by the work of the late structural engineer Eladio Dieste (1917-2000) (spanish link-english link) and the thin-shell masonry constructions of the Rafael Guastavino (1842–1908).
