INTERNAL FUNDING

University of Manitoba Graduate Fellowship (UMGF):
Valued for a 12 month period at $16,000 for Ph.D. students, or $12,000 for Master's students.

Ph.D. Studies for Aboriginal Scholars (PSAS):
Valued between $5,000-$20,000 and offered to an Aboriginal Ph.D. student enrolled in the PSAS program.

C.D. Howe Foundation Fellowships in Creative Writing and Oral Culture:
The Faculty of Arts will award two one-year Fellowships in Creative Writing and Oral Culture. They are valued at $10,000 and will be offered to students who are conducting thesis research in Creative Writing (producing an original work of literature) or on the critical study of oral cultures. Students with lived experience of Indigenous and other oral cultures are particularly encouraged to apply.

Department of Native Studies Scholarship:
Valued at $2,000 and awarded to a student who is enrolled in the M.A. Native Studies program
