Nicholas and Annie Dawyduk Scholarship

    A fund has been established at The University of Manitoba from the bequest of Steve Dawyduk to provide scholarships in memory of his parents, Nicholas and Annie Dawyduk, to recognize and encourage academic achievement in Ukrainian Studies.

Selection Criteria:

  • for a full-time student in any Faculty or School at the University of Manitoba 
  • has completed at least one year of study 
  • has achieved the highest grade point average on at least 12 credit hours of courses with significant Ukrainian cultural content and/or Ukrainian Canadian content, in fields such as History, Political Studies, Slavic Studies, & Ukrainian Studies, and based first on courses within the Ukrainian Canadian Heritage Studies program
        

    Applicants will be required to submit an application consisting of the following:

    1. A brief statement of their interest in the field,
    2. A current academic transcript,
    3. A letter of reference from a professor at a post-secondary institution.

The selection committee shall be named by the Coordinator of the Centre for Ukrainian Canadian Studies.
