All subjects offered by the Faculties of Arts and Science are grouped into three categories: Humanities, Social Sciences and Sciences. Listed below are the three categories and the subjects applicable to each.
All students in the Faculty of Arts must complete a minimum of: 6 credit hours from the list of subjects designated as Humanities; 6 credit hours from the list of subjects designated as Social Sciences; and 6 credit hours from the list of subjects designated Sciences.

NOTE: Environmental Science and Geological Sciences courses completed prior to September 2003 will be considered a Science.
For Example: If a student were to complete a 3 credit hour course in each of History and Native Studies, a 6 credit hour course in Geography and a 3 credit hour course in each of Biology and Computer Science, then the Humanities, Social Science and Science requirement will be met.
