The Program

The certificate program consists of nine required courses, offered in the evening on a part-time basis. Upon successful completion of the first two introductory courses, students will be eligible to receive a Letter of Accomplishment in Financial and Management Accounting from Extended Education, University of Manitoba.

Current Certificate in Accounting students or students who graduated from the Certificate in Accounting program within the past five years may apply to have all applicable courses transferred into the Certificate in Financial and Management Accounting. Students who have completed the Advanced Certificate in Accounting are not eligible for the Certificate in Financial and Management Accounting. The certificate will not be awarded retroactively to students who have completed all required coursework prior to being admitted to the program.

If the supplemental exam score is lower, the original grade for the course will remain unchanged, i.e. your final grade can be raised but not lowered. To apply for a supplemental exam, a written request and a $100 exam fee must be submitted to the Program Administrator prior to the start of the course. Your application will be reviewed and you will be informed of the decision by mail.
