The Purchasing Management Association of Canada (PMAC) is a not-for-profit professional association and Canada's largest national association representing the purchasing and supply management profession.
The Purchasing Management Association of Canada (PMAC) is the principal source of training, education and professional development for supply chain management professionals in Canada.
Individuals interested in pursuing either program must satisfy the requirements as outlined by the Purchasing Management Association of Canada and are advised to contact the Association to familiarize themselves with program, membership, admission and registration requirements.

In co-operation with PMAC, the University of Manitoba, Extended Education, offers both the Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) accreditation and the Supply Management Training program.
The Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation sets
the national standard for excellence in supply chain management
in Canada. It is the most sought-after achievement in the profession.
A comprehensive accreditation program certifies that the SCMP has
attained the highest level of competency. Adherence to a Code of
Ethics ensures the highest level of integrity.
With procurement, operations, logistics and all areas of supply
chain management playing an increasingly important role in organizations,
more employers are seeking skilled professionals to do the job.
The Strategic Supply Chain Management Leadership Program focuses
on strategic supply chain management to meet the evolving needs
of the marketplace.

13 sessions or 39 classroom hours. Modules 5 – 8 each consist
of 7 sessions or 21 classroom hours.

Registrations for the Strategic Supply Chain Management Leadership Program modules (1-4) are accepted by the University of Manitoba, Extended Education, for September start-ups. A letter indicating prior approval from the Manitoba Institute of the Purchasing Management Association of Canada (MIPMAC) must accompany applications for admission. Prerequisites include one of the following:
* A Bachelor of Business Administration Degree, OR
* A Bachelor of Commerce Degree, OR
* An equivalent number of management courses
Registration for course modules (1-4) is completed through the University

Registration for workshops is completed through the Manitoba Institute
of the Purchasing Management Association of Canada (MIPMAC)
Students are encouraged to complete year one requirements before entering year two.
Today’s global market demands skilled entry to mid-level practitioners to support the management of increasingly complex upstream and downstream components of extended supply chains. PMAC provides a series of courses and seminars in supply management to meet this need for proficiency in functional area processes and technical competencies.
Supply Management Training consists of introductory technical courses, offered through the University of Manitoba, Extended Education, and soft skill and business seminars offered through the MIPMAC. Participants can access a single course or a seminar, or can complete the entire package to earn a Certificate in Supply Management.
The intended audience is junior and intermediate practitioners requiring a technical competence in supply management. The training will also be of interest to those seeking knowledge of supply management at an introductory level.
