The Letter of Accomplishment in Supervisory Management is no longer being offered. No new applications are being accepted into this program. Supervisory Management I and II will continue to be offered as elective courses in the Human Resource Management (HRM) Certificate, the Certificate in Management and Administration (CIM) and the Certificate in Manitoba Municipal Administration (CMMA).Students can also enroll as individuals in the courses for personal and professional development. Students already enrolled in the program will have until April 30, 2015 to complete the Letter of Accomplishment. For further information, please contact the Program Administrator.
Covers topics on supervision in dealing with individual employees as well as with groups: Theoretical models of behaviour, conflict resolution, problem-solving, decision-making, management and leadership styles, group dynamics, motivation techniques, impact of globalization and computer technology on work, time and organizational management, managing change and diversity, and working in a non/unionized environment.
A strong emphasis will be placed on how you can apply concepts and techniques to real work situations.
