Canadian University Experience Program

With the Canadian University Experience Program (CUE) you get the opportunity to improve your English language ability and to take university courses in your area of study.  The CUE program is divided into two parts:

1. Students study in the advanced levels (IEP Plus) of the Intensive English Program to prepare for university courses.

2. Students take three, three-credit hour university courses for one semester beginning at the start of the academic year in September and finishing in December. Students also have the option of taking their university courses in January and finishing in April.

Only students from partner universities with the University of Manitoba are eligible for this program.  Partner universities will determine how students receive credit for their courses.

CUE in Summer

Manitoba is a great place to visit and study in the summer.

The University of Manitoba campus is warm, green and sunny during the summer, offering a relaxed alternative to the fall and winter terms.

Students interested in a shorter version of CUE can combine English language and academic study at the University of Manitoba in Summer Session.

Classes are offered May through August with over 500 courses to choose from in a wide range of academic disciplines, including Psychology, Sociology, English, Philosophy, Geography, Business, Environment and more.  For a complete list and schedule of available courses, check the 2013 Summer Session class schedule online at manitoba.ca/summer.

Each 3 credit-hour academic course can be completed in four weeks.  Course dates for 2013 are: May 6 – June 1; June 3 – June 28; July 2 – 22 and July 29 – August 24.

Here is a sample program schedule – but you can create your own depending on your English language skills, your academic interests, and the length of time you choose to study.
