Program Description:

Welcome to the Adult EAL Program for Newcomers at the University of Manitoba!

We offer English classes for students with a Canadian Language Benchmark level of 3 to 8. Our classes will help you develop the English language skills you need to live in Manitoba. The goal of our program is to help you improve your English for the workplace and for everyday life.

  • Develop your communication skills, so you can actively participate in your community.
  • Learn about community, settlement and employment services and find out how to access these services.
  • Learn about Canada - its history and traditions, as well as its values and customs.
