Part-time Evening Courses

If you are interested in learning a new language or in improving your target language, pagodaenroll in one of our  non-credit language classes. The primary focus of all conversational language classes is on developing your communication skills in everyday situations. These three-hour classes are highly interactive and give you many opportunities to develop fluency through conversational role-plays and creative game activities. Our dynamic courses are designed to make the study of language an enjoyable experience.

Three sessions are offered throughout the year: September to December, January to March, and April to June. Sessions run for nine or 12 weeks.

We currently offer the following levels:

True Beginner The true beginner course is designed for individuals who have no previous knowledge in the target language. The goal is to provide students with a basic comfort level holding simple everyday conversations. Students will learn how to introduce themselves, talk about their interests, ask simple questions and make purchases in stores and restaurants.
High Beginner This course is designed for students who have developed some fluency in expressing basic ideas involving simple grammar structures and everyday vocabulary and who want to upgrade their skills to express more complex thoughts. Students will learn how to relate events in the past, present and future and will expand their vocabulary.
Intermediate This course is intended for students who have a solid background in the target language and who wish to develop more fluency and confidence in everyday spoken communication. Students will be able to express more complex ideas, such as making suggestions and recommendations, giving an opinion and convincingly arguing a point of view.

If you don’t know which level is appropriate for you, please indicate on your registration form. We will contact you to set up an appointment for a placement interview.

For specific course times, please check the course schedule.
