If you plan to travel by rail or air, you are advised to make your reservations early. Please send your arrival information to: iep_program@umanitoba.ca. We will do our best to meet students at the airport, train station, and bus depot. If you are unable to arrive on the scheduled arrival date, please contact us as soon as your travel plans are confirmed.
Students from outside Canada must assure that their immigration documents are in order. Please let us know if you have an existing medical problem.
Health Insurance
International students with a valid study permit for 6 months or more qualify for Manitoba Health Insurance. Coverage is not automatic. Students must APPLY for the coverage.

Additional Health Insurance
Students who study for less than six months are encouraged to purchase health insurance in their home country prior to departure for Canada. All students are encouraged to purchase additional health insurance as Manitoba Health Insurance does not cover all expenses such as dental.
Additional health insurance providers include Guard Me and Blue Cross.
