Provides you with information needed to successfully complete a DE course.  The Handbook includes: claiming your UMNetID, ANGEL, assignments, obtaining a UM library card, applying to write your final exam, UM Off-Campus Library Service and more.

Distance and Online Education Student Support
If you are currently taking or are interested in taking Distance and Online Education courses, the Student Support staff can provide you with assistance or direct you to the appropriate person in your faculty for academic advising.

Desire 2 Learn
Use Desire 2 Learn to access your course, submit assignments, utilize assignment and grade tracking, or connect with other students. 

Learning Assistance Centre
Offers quality academic support to all UM students through accessible and adaptable programming that will facilitate learning and enhance writing.

Online Writing Tutor
Engages you a dialogue that supports your learning and growth in writing.  Tutors will answer specific questions, work with students on the writing process (development of thesis, organization, task analysis), instruct in areas of difficulty (run-on sentences, pronouns) or help diagnose areas of difficulty.

Virtual Learning Commons
The Virtual Learning Commons is a place to find out how to be a successful student - how to do research, write A+ papers, hone your study skills and effectively manage your time.

Book Store
Important information regarding options for purchasing textbooks (i.e. online, by telephone, etc.) as well as refunds and resell.

The University Libraries serve all faculties, schools, and colleges of the University. In addition the Off-Campus & Distance and Online Education Library Service supports Distance and Online Education students. The Office provides confidential centralized services for receiving student complaints and grievances. This centre serves as a general information source for students regarding their rights and responsibilities.

Offers UM students academic English courses and programs to prepare students for university study, and assistance to students already in academic study.

Peer Advisors Program
A confidential resource for students who have questions, need to talk with someone about personal issues, want information on different issues/topics, or have academic questions or concerns.
