• anticariogenicity
• allergenicity
• fluoride release
• epidemiology of malocclusion
• public health orthodontics
• preventive and interceptive orthodontics
• clinical research in temporomandibular joint dysfunction
• the biology of tooth movement.

In addition to equipment in the general research laboratories of the Faculty of Dentistry, the latest acquisition is a state-of-the-art Zwick material testing machine.
