Education Computer Lab

The Education Computer Lab is a hands-on instructional lab and a student work area for completing assignments. It is divided into two sections, the Main Lab and the Overflow Lab.

This computer lab is only open to students registered in University of Manitoba, Faculty of Education programs, and Education academic and support staff.

You can purchase photocopier and printing credits from Lab or Education Undergraduate Student Services staff (room 225 Education). Library print cards, UMSU copy cards, or other faculty cards cannot be accepted.

Photocopier and Printers (black & white):
20 credits @ 10¢ = $2.00
50 credits @ 7.5¢ = $3.75
100 credits @ 5¢ = $5.00

*Computer printing preferences are set to automatically print double-sided and is an environmentally friendly choice.

*Single-sided printing is available. To print single-sided, change the printing preferences before sending your job to print.


Colour Printer:
50¢ per side (plain paper)

Transparency:
$1.00 each - black & white
$1.50 - colour

Video and Digital Cameras

The Education Computer Lab is also home to digital still and digital video cameras for Education student's to use to complete academic work. Digital equipment is not available for personal use. Written permission from an instructor or professor is required before a student may sign out equipment.

*Permission forms must be completed if taking photos of, or if video taping person's under 18 (pdf) or 18 and over (pdf).
If using a camcorder or camera in a school, please ensure you have the permission of the Principal and that you are aware of the school policy before you conduct any audio or video recording.
