Exchange & Partner Programs

The Faculty of Engineering at the University of Manitoba is involved in many international iniatives that involve faculty and students.  They include capacity building, faculty exchanges, joint conferences, student exchanges and joint programs. These programs and exchanges are overseen by Jean-Paul (J.P.) Burak through the Engineering Dean's Office. These programs provide opportunities for students to obtain international experience as part of their program of studies in becoming an engineer. In this way, students have the opportunity to learn the language and culture of another country and through their experiences are more globally-minded and aware as engineers and better prepared for international collaborative work. In addition, the joint programs also help students from our partner universities participate in an exchange at the University of Manitoba  This is done through administrative support, airport welcome and pick-up, and adjustment to their studies in the university.
