Research Interests

I am studying abiotic drivers for beluga whale occurrence in the Mackenzie Estuary by examining localized patterns of presence/absence alongside environmental and oceanographic data. Presence/absence is being determined by vocalization activity, collected with autonomous hydrophones, and verified through traditional knowledge and hunter observations, as well as time-lapse and UAV photography.
