Dr. Todd joined the Department of Environment and Geography in 1975, having previously studied and worked in Britain. He is a specialist in economic geography and numerical analysis, focusing on transportation (ports, shipping, railways) and area development.

Research Interests
Dr. Todd is currently studying the global shipbuilding industry, besides maintaining interests in aerospace and the mining industry. In addition he is pursuing port studies, both of Britain and East Asia.
Teaching Interests
Dr. Todd regularly teaches courses in Economic Geography, the Geography of Natural Resources, Regional Development Planning, and the Geography of Transportation Development
