What happened

On August 9, 2007, a long-lived supercell formed in western Saskatchewan and moved over Dauphin, eventually transitioning into a bow echo that hit Winnipeg. Numerous reports of severe weather were received with this storm, including baseball-sized (and bigger) hail in Dauphin, causing millions of dollars in damage, and wind damage in Winnipeg.
