What happened?

On July 23, 2017, severe thunderstorms moved across central Alberta with reports of hail ranging from nickel to almost baseball sized. The RADAR displayed three-body scatter spikes, usually indicative of severe hail, during much of this time on a few of the thunderstorms. The RADAR information is presented here.

An area of severe thunderstorms tracked across central and southern 
Alberta on Sunday July 23, 2017.

these storms, such as: power outages, broken power poles and damaged
