Research in the College of Pharmacy is diverse, embracing the basic, clinical practice and population health/health policy sciences. While each investigator has a specific field of interest, the College encompasses 4 collaborative research paradigms:
  1. Drug Design, Development, and Delivery;
  2. Evaluation of Medication Use, Effectiveness and Safety;
  3. Translational Pharmacotherapy;
  4. Molecular Biotherapeutics.

Researchers within the College of Pharmacy collaborate extensively with other programs at the University of Manitoba (and beyond).  Many existing collaborations are with researchers in the Max Rady College of Medicine and involve departments including,  for example, Pharmacology and Therapeutics, Physiology and Pathophysiology, Medical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases, Biochemistry and Medical Genetics, Immunology, Human Anatomy and Cell Sciences, Psychiatry, Family Medicine, and Community Health Sciences. Collaborations also exist with other programs external to the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences such as the Faculty of Science. These local collaborations benefit the education of University of Manitoba graduate students.
