How to Apply

Minimum admission requirements are:

  • a four-year Baccalaureate degree from an accredited university with:
  • a grade point average of 3.25 (B+) over the last 60 credit hours (2 years)
  • a grade point average of 3.25 in at least 30 credit hours of 300- and 400-level courses

Credit at the undergraduate level in statistics and research methods is strongly recommended.



Applicants who are not suitably prepared for the MSc program in Family Social Sciences may be eligible for admission to a Pre-Masters year, which enables them to prepare for admission to the MSc program.

Application Deadlines
For Canadian/US citizens/residents:

  • March 1 for September admission
  • October 1 for January admission

For applicants outside Canada or the US:

  • February 1 for September admission
  • July 1 for January admission
