Making a Difference

An undergraduate in class

With a degree in Family Social Sciences, you can learn how to make a difference in many different ways:

  • Promote successful aging
  • Prevent children who were abused from abusing their own children
  • Help neighbourhoods become safer
  • Help teens stay in school longer

In FSS, you learn how the social determinants of health affect our daily lives, and how to make a difference through the power of prevention.

You can create a career that has a positive impact on the well-being of children, older adults, families and communities, just as many of our alumni have.
