As an FSS student, you have the unique opportunity to gain hands-on practical experience during your degree that future employers will value.
You can apply to take the field experience course, in which you will work one-half day per week for two semesters in a community agency. You will be under the supervision of an employee of the agency, as well as the FSS Field Experience Coordinator. Your field experience can be arranged in a wide variety of local settings based on your interests, such as:
