The Lectra Computer Aided Design Lab
Opened in 2007, the CAD Lab in the Department of Textile Sciences is a state of the art facility. As part of the program, students learn the art and science of design, pattern making, planning and coordination of a line, and industrial supply chain management both manually and through a computer aided environment. Lectra, a leading company in CAD has generously donated the specialized software needed to teach the skills that graduates will need in the workplace.
Lectra partnership policy was launched to reinforce their support for
tomorrow’s professionals, and to accompany them throughout their
studies. Each partnership is adapted to the specificities of the
institution, the courses it offers, and the students themselves. It is
based on mutual commitments. The Department of Textile Sciences is an Eduction Partner in the Lectra
Education Partner Program.
Students have access to the latest
technologies, as well as all of the companies expertise, and they help professors
to integrate them into their academic curricula.

The Department uses Modaris Patternmaking software and Kaledo Design software for their classes.
