About the Advisory Committee
The Human Ecology Program and Integrated majors are administered by an Advisory Committee, which gives student and program advice to the Dean of Human Ecology. The Committee does the following:
- Assigns students to an academic advisor;
- Suggests curriculum changes as needed;
- Plans student activities.
The Human Ecology / Integrated Advisory committee has the following members:
- The Dean, Faculty of Human Ecology, appoints one academic member as Chair.
- Chair Appointed by the Dean for a 3 to 5 year term. The Nominating Committee shall advise the Dean in this appointment.
- 3 academic staff, one from each of the departments in the Faculty. The members shall be elected by Faculty Council for a 3-year term with one member being replaced each year.
- Two undergraduate students. One shall be a 4th year student registered in the Human Ecology Program and the other a 4th year student registered in the integrated program. The student members will be named by the students registered in the respective programs.
- Two representatives of professional organizations and /or prospective employers of the graduates of the program non voting.

- Wilder Robles, Family Social Sciences;
- Shirley Fontaine, Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs;
- Arlene Skull, Manitoba Association of Home Economists.
