Dr. Sevenhuysen is working towards improving our understanding regarding the role of nutrition in disease. The goals are to create more reliable and more precise indicators of food intake assessment and to include psychology and social influences when interpreting food intakes. Applications in international nutrition benefit disadvantaged populations. Research outcomes are valuable in agriculture and public health policy planning.
