The Manitoba Bisons track and field team continues to look toward the upcoming 2013-14 season by announcing 26 additional recruits for the new season.
Berube, heading into his 17th season at Manitoba stated, “We are excited to have this group of young athletes join the University of Manitoba Track & Field program. They are going to be part of the “new look” Bisons and some of them will certainly contribute to our team’s success not only in the next couple of years, but also during their entire CIS career.”
Only one student-athlete comes from outside of the Manitoba high school system and a couple of interesting notes on the recruits include Cheyenne Slonowski from River East Collegiate will also be a duo Bison athlete as she will play with the women’s soccer team and Blair Gardiner is the daughter of Bison T&F speed power coach Alex Gardiner.
