Manitoba Bison Men's Hockey History
The Manitoba Bisons Men's Hockey team has played in the Canada West Conference since 1919-20, sporting a record of 323-278-35. From 1972-73 until 1984-85 the Herd also played in the Great Plains Athletic Conference where they won 4 GPAC titles.

The team has a storied history with hockey greats like Lorne Chabot, Mike Ridley, Barry Trotz, and Wayne Fleming gracing our record books.

Three members of the Herd have won major CIAU awards:

Mike Ridley was the recipient of the Senator Joseph A. Sullivan Trophy (Most Outstanding Player in the CIAU) in 1983-84.

Wayne Fleming brought home the Father George Kehoe Memorial Award that is presented annually to the CIAU Coach of the Year in 1984-85.

Ryan Campbell won the R.W. Pugh Award (CIAU Most Sportsmanlike Player) in 1992-93.
