The time has finally arrived! Frank Kennedy’s newly renovated locker rooms will officially open Monday, September 10th, 2012! At this time the primary renovations have been completed however some smaller scale work will continue to be done during afterhours to ensure minimal disruptions. Regular locker sales will commence at this time.
Improvements to the locker rooms include:
- Expansion of the women’s room to accommodate more lockers
- New plastic lockers and aluminum benches in both men’s and women’s rooms
- New epoxy flooring
- New counters and mirrors complete with electrical outlets, and new towel hooks throughout both locker rooms
- New barrier-free water fountains and bottle fillers
- New emergency red phones
- Addition of more privacy showers in the women’s room
- Upgrades to the existing shower/washroom facilities in both rooms including new toilets, sinks, countertops, and shower heads
- Barrier-free access improvements
- Upgrades to HVAC
- New paint throughout both rooms
The new wheelchair lift and revised ramp to the Joyce Fromson Pool is expected to be completed within a few weeks.
