Mission Statement
Children's Programs:
1. Develops educated leaders in children/youth physical activity
2. Provides excellent and inclusive recreation/sport and educational experiences to young people
3. Promotes the Faculty of Kinesiology and Recreation Management and the University of Manitoba as destinations for post secondary education
4. Contributes to the creation and dissemination of physical activity knowledge.
Vison
To be recognized locally and nationally as a leader in providing evidence-based programs while actively collaborating in the creation and dissemination of physical activity knowledge. Children's Programs develops excellent, innovative leaders and provides stimulating, quality programs for children /youth that reflect the values of inclusiveness, fair play and healthy development.
Inservice Days
No school? Bring your children (Grades 1-6) to the University of Manitoba for a fun and exciting day of activities with instructors from Mini-U. Students will participate in a variety of physical activities such as rockclimbing, archery, fencing, racquetball and more. There is no swimming. Children need runners,comfortable clothing for physical activity and a nut-free lunch.The program runs 9am-4pm though students can be dropped off at 8am and picked up until 5pm. Come to Frank Kennedy front desk for signs indicating drop-off location. Please note that school closures vary from school to school so be sure to check the closure dates specific to your child's school. Convenient for you...fun for your child!

The prices are as follows:
- 1-4 registrations $26.80 per day per student
- 5-9 registrations $21.65 per day per student
- 10 or more registrations $19.60 per day per student
For example if a family registered 2 children for 3 days it would be $21.65 x 6 registrations = $156. In order to receive the pricing for multiple registrations you must register for them all at the same time.
Due to the discount policy for multiple registrations, on-line registration is not available for Inservice Days.
