How to Register
Intramural registration is a 2 phase process. Phase 1 is Team Enrollment and Phase 2 is Player/Free Agent Registration.
IMPORTANT: All Intramural participants will be required to create an account on IMLeagues.com, our new league maintenance website. In order to do so participants will be required to use their University of Manitoba email address to create an account in IMLeagues. Team Enrollment Dates:
- Term 1: Monday, September 16 - Wednesday, September 18, 2013
- Term 2: Monday, January 13 - Wednesday, January 15, 2014
On-line Team Enrollment: Team Enrollment will only be accepted on-line. Please carefully read the information below.
Team Captains must create an account in IMLeagues before registering their team. Creation of your account in IMLeagues can be done at any time. It is advisable that you create your account prior to the Team Enrollment period as this will save you time when you attempt to create your team during the Team Enrollment.
Step One:
Prior to the Team Enrollment period, create an account at IMLeagues.com (Note: you must use your University of Manitoba email address to create an account. If you have not claimed your UofM email account please visit http://umanitoba.ca/computing/ist/accounts/claimid.html to do so before creating your account in IMLeagues)
- Go to IMLeagues.com and click Create Account (located at the top of the page)
- Enter your information and make sure to use your UofM email address (@umanitoba.ca) and click submit.
- You will be sent an activation email, click the link in the email to login and activate your IMLeagues account.
- You should be automatically joined to your school – If not you can search schools by clicking the “Schools” link.
**Note** IMLeagues offers a live support button in the top right corner of all pages, please use this button if you encounter any difficulties.
Step two: During the Team Enrollment Period (dates listed above):
- Log in to your IMLeagues.com account.
- Click the Create Team button at the top right of your User Homepage page
- The current sports will be displayed, click on the sport you wish to join.
- Choose the league you wish to play in (Open, Co-Ed, Women, etc.).
- Choose the division you’d like to play in (Monday, Tuesday etc.) if option available.
All Team Captains will be advised following the Team Enrollment period if their team has received a spot in the league or placed on the waitlist. If your team has received a spot please proceed with Phase 2 – Player Registration.
Player Registration Dates:
- Term 1: Friday September 20 - Thursday September 26, 2013
- Term 2: Friday January 17 - Thursday January 23, 2014
Step one:
Once teams have received confirmation that they have received a spot in the league, team members must then register with their team during the Player Registration period by visiting the Customer Service Desk in the Frank Kennedy Centre, Max Bell Centre or Joe Doupe Centre (Bannatyne Campus).
Note: All players will be required to provide their UofM email address at the time of registration. Team rosters will be uploaded into the Intramural league maintenance website and the UofM email address will be your player ID.
All intramural participants will be required to pay a $12 intramural fee ($20 for Ice Hockey) and will have to purchase a minimum 4 month Bison Recreation Services membership, if they do not already have one.
Step two:
Once players have successfully registered by visiting one of the Customer Service Desks listed above, they then must create an account on IMLeagues.com our new league maintenance website. Instructions to do so are as follows:
- Go to www.IMLeagues.com and click Create Account (located at the top of the page)
- Enter your information and (make sure to use your UofM email address @umanitoba.ca) and click submit. If you have not claimed your UofM email account please visit http://umanitoba.ca/computing/ist/accounts/claimid.html to do so before creating your account in IMLeagues.
- You will be sent an activation email, click the link in the email to login and activate your IMLeagues account.
- You should be automatically joined to your school – If not you can search schools by clicking the “Schools” link.
- To join your team click the create button at the top right of your User Homepage page
OR
Click on the “University of Manitoba-Intramurals” link to go to your school’s homepage on IMLeagues
- The current sports will be displayed, click on the sport your wish to join
- Find the team captains name on the division/league page and request to join
OR
Go to your team captain’s playercard page, to view his/her team and request to join
Free agents register during the Player Registration period:
- Term 1: Friday September 20 - Thursday September 26, 2013
- Term 2: Friday January 17 - Thursday January 23, 2014
Please follow all of the above the steps in Phase 2 - Player Registration but register with a free agent team in your desired sport.
NOTE: All Free Agents are required to attend the Team Captain/Free Agent meeting.

NOTE 1: Teams that do not meet the minimum player requirement for their sport by the end of player registration period will be removed from Intramural competition. The Intramural fee and membership fees are non-refundable.
NOTE 2: All team captains must attend the Team Captain meeting for their sport(s).
NOTE 3: All team captains must register as a player during the Player Registration period.
NOTE 4: Teams can still add players until the roster addition deadline.
NOTE 5: Don't forget that you need to purchase your student membership to play in intramurals, so get it early.
Team Captain/Free Agent Meetings
Attendance is mandatory by all Team Captain’s (or a team representative) and all Free Agents.
Team Captain/Free Agent Meeting Dates:
- Term 1: Thursday September 26, 2013 - rooms 133 and 136 Frank Kennedy Centre
- Term 2: Thursday January 23, 2014 – rooms 133 and 136 Frank Kennedy Centre
- Meeting times to be posted approximately one week prior meeting date.
