Joe Doupe Centre - Intramural Sports

Intramural registration is a 2 phase process. Phase 1 is Team Registration and Phase 2 is Player/Free Agent Registration.

Phase 1 - Team Registration:

New – A team captain or team representative must register a team in person by visiting one of 3 locations: the Frank Kennedy Customer Service Desk, 145 Frank Kennedy Centre; the Max Bell Customer Service Desk, 109 Max Bell Centre; Joe Doupe Customer Service, 030 Brodie Centre, Bannatyne Campus.

Phase 2 - Player/Free Agent Registration:

Team Captain’s will be notified as to their acceptance into the league. If your team receive a spot the all players must register with their team by visiting one of 3 locations: the Frank Kennedy Customer Service Desk, 145 Frank Kennedy Centre; the Max Bell Customer Service Desk, 109 Max Bell Centre; Joe Doupe Customer Service, 030 Brodie Centre, Bannatyne Campus. At the time of registration all Intramural participants will register and pay for each sport )$12 intramural fee, $20 for Ice Hockey) and the Customer Service staff will verify that the participant has a valid four month Bison Recreation Services membership or one must be purchase.

Register as a Free Agent and we will place you on a team with other Free Agents! It’s a great way to meet other students who share your love for a sport or who are looking for a new challenge. Free Agents register during Phase 2 (Player/Free Agent Registration Process)

When to Register

Phase 1: Team Registrations

Team Registrations will be accepted during the following dates:
(Teams must pay a $50.00 default fee upon registration)

  • Term 1 Monday, September 17-Thursday, September 20, 2012
  • Term 2, Monday, November 19-Friday- November 23, 2012

Phase 2: Player/Free Agent Registration Process

All teams must register a minimum number of players during the following periods:

  • Term 1 Friday, September 21 – Thursday, September 27, 2012
  • Term 2 Friday, Monday, November 26 – Friday, November 30, 2012

  • Basketball
  • Soccer
  • Dodgeball

Term 2 Sports

  • Table Tennis
  • Volleyball
  • Soccer
  • Floor Hockey

Team Captain/Free Agent Meetings

Attendance is mandatory by all Team Captain’s (or a team representative) and all Free Agents.Team Captain/Free Agent Meeting Dates:
  • October 1, 2012 @ 4:30 (Joe Doupe Gymnasium)
Meeting times to be posted approximately one week prior meeting date.
