This bonspiel will determine teams that may represent Manitoba at the Canada West Championships (location TBA).
Teams placing in the top 2 in each division at Canada West will proceed to the CIS/CCA University Curling Championships in Kamloops, BC, March 20-24, 2013.
The 2013 Canadian champions will represent Canada the following year at the 2014 Karuizawa Invitational in Karuizawa, Japan.
Open only to eligible U of M students.
Eligibility requirements - University of Manitoba Championship teams that advance to Canada West Finals and the CIS/CCA University Curling Championships must meet the following requirements to be eligible to participate:
Academic: Be a student who is officially registered and in good standing, pursuing a full-time course of study at a CIS member university. Full-time status must be confirmed on the entry form by signature by the athletic director of the institution. (Full-time as defined in CIS policies 40.10.3.2 and 40.10.3.3)
Athletic: Be a member of the recognized university curling team, as approved by signature of the athletic director of the institution.
Citizenship: Be a Canadian citizen with a birth date between January 2nd, 1986 and January 1, 1996 inclusive. Note: This only applies to individuals representing Canada at the FISU Games. Student-athletes at the CIS/CCA Championship must meet above to participate in the championship.
Maximum Years: A student may participate in a maximum of five (5) CIS/CCA Championships.
Registration deadline for the UofM Curling Championship is November 9, 2012
