How do you get started?

The following sequence describes the developmental process for creating a strength and conditioning agreement. The process is fluid in terms of timing but consistent in terms of process.

A. Initial Consultation:

The overall goal of the consultation is to identify needs, goals and outcomes for development of the program. The consultation is based on the following principles:

  1. The relationship between Bison Sport and Active Living and the team is a partnership.
  2. Multiple perspectives enhance, clarify and amplify the outcomes.
  3. Optimal results hinge on clear goals and realistic expectations.

B. Statement of Intent:

This is a written, formalized statement based on the initial consultation process and articulates needs, goals, outcomes, program format and costs. This document establishes a plan that confirms that the partnership between Bison Sport and Active Living and the team is clear to both parties and worthy of continuation.

C. Contract:

This is a document that, based on the agreements prompted by the Statement of Intent, outlines the agreement between Bison Sport and Active Living and the team organization. This document will include but not be exclusive to the following:

  1. Responsibilities of Bison Sport and Active Living
  2. Responsibilities of the team
  3. Description of Services
  4. Fee Schedule and Payment Schedule
