Thanks to the generous support of Alumni, students, faculty and staff, the value of the Faculty of Kinesiology and Recreation Management Endowment Fund stands at $520,869.90 as of 02/07/2011. In 2009-10 it earned $24,700 that was allocated to support students, laboratory and classroom equipment and libraries.
2009-10 Allocation:
Libraries - $2,000.00 (Sport Discus subscription; acquisitions)
Graduate Students - $400.00 (Computer programs/equipment)
Undergraduate Program - $11,750.00 (2 Accelerometers & software; motor learning equipment; cycle ergometer with program control unit)
Undergraduate Students/SAHPER - $10,000.00 (computer; lounge/study carrel furniture; bus for KIN Games; and conference sponsorship)
2008-09 Allocation:
Students/SAHPER - $4500 (Toward attendance of students at the Kin Games and Western Canadian Campus Recreation Conference, and for graduation dinner).
Facilites - $3000 (Built-in projector for Investors Group Athletic Centre Conference Room A)
Library - $1600 (Subscription for Sport Discus, a database of sports and sports medicine journals and general acquisitions)
Graduate Students - $1600 (Office furniture and posters)
Undergraduate Program - $18900 (Culturally Relevant Course materials and equipment for Biomechanics, Anatomy, & Basic Trauma)
2007-08 Allocation:
Students - $7525 (Toward attendance of students at the Kin Games and Rec Connections, and for improvements to the student lounge).
Library - $2000 (Subscription for Sport Discus, a database of sports and sports medicine journals)
Biomechanics Lab - $7515 (equipment)
Athletic Therapy - $4072 (equipment)
