Students must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 in their Pre-Master’s and Master’s programs. Additionally, no grade below a C+ will be accepted. If a student earns less than a C+ grade, the student’s advisor may submit a request to the Graduate Program Chair for remedial action (usually this involves repeating the course). A recommendation will be forwarded to the Faculty of Graduate Studies for final approval.
Note: Pre-Master’s students deficient in more than 9 credit hours are required to withdraw from the program and Master’s students deficient in more than 6 credit hours are required to withdraw.
Courses
Before registering for the first time, a Program Approval Form must be submitted to the Graduate Program Chair. This form is used to record the course work students are expected to complete as part of their degree requirements. The form is to be completed by the advisor, in consultation with the student, and must be signed by the advisor and the student. The Graduate Program Chair will review and sign the Program Approval Form. A copy will be maintained in the student’s file.
Note: Revisions to the Program Approval Form must be approved by the advisor and the student, and registered with the Graduate Program Chair. Courses cannot be dropped without the prior approval of the advisor and Graduate Program Chair.
Only courses recorded and approved on the Program Approval Form will be credited to the students graduate program.
