What was your experience going to school here like?
It was like working as an independent member of a team; you have a few fellow grad students that you can converse and collaborate with - it was great.

What was the best part of going to school here?
To have the privilege to work under some internationally-renowned faculty members

What would you say the Faculty and program did a good job of while you were a student?
Very understanding and supportive when life takes a change, and yet still able to keep me on track to complete my degree

What do you do now?
In addition to coordinating all personal training and fitness testing for Recreation Services, I am responsible for coordination of all strength and conditioning for Bison athletes and assumes the head strength coach position with the Bison Football team.

How is that work related to what you studied here?
My current job encompasses all that I learned in both my undergraduate and graduate degrees.

How have your degrees helped you in your life and/or career?
My career would not be possible without the degrees that I have, which in turn leads to life satisfaction. I was taught and trained to do a job that I enjoy.

What other opportunities have come your way because of your degrees?
I have been able to complete a number of certifications (see staff bio) that came due to special training received or initiated during my degree.

What’s the one thing you learned while a student here that you’ll never forget?
I don’t know that I can pinpoint one thing, however I did discover during my degrees that you can have a large impact on a person by helping them make a change in their lifestyle that can improve their daily living.

What is the typical salary range for someone in your field?
$30,000 – 50,000 annually.
