When: Wednesday, May 15, 2013 (8:00am set up; 12:00-1:00pm judging; 3:30pm winners announced)
Where: Atrium, Engineering and Information Technology Complex (EITC2)
Why: To showcase student research in the Health, Leisure & Human Performance Research Institute
Who: All students associated with research conducted by affiliates of the Health, Leisure & Human Performance Research Institute. This can include your thesis or dissertation research.
How:
- Complete a Research Poster Information Form (This is a PDF file. For the latest version of Adobe Reader, please click HERE)
- Prepare a 250 word abstract of your work and submit it by email to Nicole Dunn, nicole_dunn@umanitoba.ca by April 15, 2013.
- Work submitted elsewhere is admissible. Work in progress will also be accepted.
- Poster printing will be provided at no cost. Posters should be 36" by 48"
- Posters will be judged on the quality of the poster itself and the oral presentation of it (5 minute presentation and 5 minute discussion with the judges). View the poster evaluation sheet here.
- Students are welcome to submit more than one abstract but only one abstract (designated by the student) will be considered for prizes.
- Prizes will be awarded during the closing ceremonies of the HLHPRI Research Day 2013 as follows:
- Undergraduate students:
- First Prize: $500; Runner Up: $250
- Master's students:
- First Prize: $500; Runner Up: $250
- PhD students:
- First Prize: $500; Runner Up: $250
