Medical Admissions
 Applying to Medical School  

The 2013-2014 Application is now closed for new submissions.  Applications are being processed and applicants will be considered based on their eligibility criteria. In January 2013, applicants will be advised if they are being considered for an interview.  The Multiple Mini Interviews and Aboriginal Panel Interviews will be conducted March 2, 3 & 9, 2013.  The Admissions Committee will solicit letters of reference only for those applicants who will be invited for interview; this will be done prior to the interview dates.   Applicants who are not being considered for interview will be notified in late January or early February 2013.  If you wish to appeal the decision, please submit your request with the reason for appeal, in writing, to the Medicine Admissions Office at admissions@med.umanitoba.ca. 

  • All eligible applicants invited for interview will receive an email from the Admissions Office indicating that the process is open.  Applicants will need to direct their referees to the website to complete the required documentation.
  • There are 3 documents your referee must complete and submit:  An Identifier Form; an Evaluation Form (bubble sheet) and a letter of support.  The Identifier Form and Evaluation Form will be posted on the website at the link provided above.
  • Referees are to send the documents directly to the Admission Office (260-727 McDermot Avenue or via email to admissions@med.umanitoba.ca or via fax to 204-789-3929) no later than February 22, 2013.  Referee letters are not to be submitted by the applicant.
