Registration info

Information on eligibility is available on the Medical Council of Canada, but in general to be eligible for the MCCQE Part II, you must:

  • Be a graduate from an approved Canadian, U.S. or International medical school, or from a U.S. school of osteopathic medicine that is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association.
  • Have successfully completed the MCC Qualifying Examination prior to 1 January 1992 or the MCCQE Part I thereafter.
  • Have satisfactorily completed a minimum of 12 months’ postgraduate clinical medical training no later than:        
January 31 for application to the spring QE Part II in the same calendar year 
June 30 for application to the fall QE Part II in the same calendar year.
  • Have had the required medical credentials successfully source verified by the MCC.
