Eligibility for IMGACL:
- Preference will be given to residents of the Province of Manitoba.
- IMG physicians must meet the requirements for conditional licensure
- This is done through the licensing body, the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba (CPSM). Shortlisted applicants only will be asked to apply to the CPSM for Conditional Registration upon completion of the IMG Program office file review

- Conditional licensure must be approved prior to the interview step of application.
- Medical Council of Canada Examinations:
- MCCEE pass standing
- MCCQE1 pass standing
- MCCQE2 is not required but increase your competitiveness
- Requires sponsorship with a Regional Health Authority, private clinic, or hospital
- Register with the Physician Resource Coordination Office (PRCO)

- English fluency, spoken and written, as evidenced by:
- TOEFL – minimum:
Overall score of 100 (TOEFL-iBT) with
Score of 24 for speaking and listening
- IELTS – minimum:
Overall band score of 7 (IELTS) with
Score of 7 in all components
- Only one language assessment is required for you to qualify
- Exams must be completed prior to the application deadline
Eligibility for MLPIMG:
- Permanent resident (landed immigrant) or Canadian citizen. Preference will be given to residents of the Province of Manitoba.
- Minimum of 1 year of postgraduate medical education acceptable to the CPSM
- evidence of postgraduate clinical training must be submitted to the Physician Credentials Registry of Canada (PCRC) for source verification
- this will verify where you completed medical school and postgraduate training

- Must have 1 year (12 months) experience working as a physician in general practice, family medicine or primary care at some point in career
- Postgraduate training (internship/residency) does not count as 1 year of practice
- Must have worked as a licensed physician within the past 5 years
- cannot be out of practice for longer than 5 years
