Postgraduate External Elective Residents

External Elective Residents are to arrange their elective directly with the appropriate program assistant/program director if the elective is to be located within the City of Winnipeg or the appropriate Regional Health Authority [RHA] if arranged outside the City of Winnipeg.  The list of the Regional Health Authorities can be found at:

Once the elective has been confirmed, the program assistant or the RHA needs to inform the Postgraduate Office

Gail Tomczuk email:  gail.tomczuk@med.umanitoba.ca  with the name, e-mail address, exact dates, and supervisor of the resident.  Once this information is received, documentation is then forwarded to the resident for completion.

When all documentation is received and forwarded appropriately, an e-mail is sent to both the elective resident and program assistant confirming that the resident can commence their elective.
