Departments & Centres
The Faculty of Medicine is comprised of 27 academic departments, institutes and administrative units including School of Medical Rehabilitation, which includes Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Respiratory Therapy. Each department is involved in teaching, research, service and clinical activities with an academic staff of approximately 1,630 faculty members: 890 nil salaried, 122 UMFA, 501 GFTs, 117 other academics; approximately 350 research associates; a support staff of nearly 400; a student population of 1255; and 261 in the School of Medical Rehabilitation.
