Departmental Imaging Facility
In 2010, the Department of Human Anatomy and Cell Science underwent significant renovations. The Microscopy/Imaging Facility is now a new addition to our Department.
We house modernized equipment such as several microscopes for bright field, fluorescence, 3D imaging, electron microscopy and superresolution imaging. The facility offers new and conventional technologies providing a complete spectrum of imaging capabilities. Microscopes are listed below.
Imaging Regulations
Use of the microscopes in the facility are only permitted to those who have completed the mandatory training and submitted their "Microscope Training Access" FORM. Please contact histology staff at 204-789-3508 or histology_services@umanitoba.ca to arrange training and billing information.

Microscopes may only be used during Microscopy Facility hours of operation: 8:00am. – 4:30pm.
Exceptions may apply, therefore please contact the Histology Office for special requests.
